Diffuse esophageal spasm

Esophageal manometry--> non-peristaltic contractions of large amplitude and long duration --> diffuse esophageal spasm =======> Diffuse esophageal spasm occurs due to uncoordinated contractions of the esophagus. Manometric studies will demonstrate periodic, non-peristaltic contractions of a large amplitude and long duration.
